“Smokey eyes” is a makeup technique that has become very popular among girls in recent years. “Smokey eyes” does not mean that the eyes have to be black, but it is true that with this technique you can make the strongest makeup Since it is a shading technique, you can also choose from softer, natural shades. The name itself tells us that the eyes should look smoky, that is, very blurry, like smoke.
We start shading the eyes when we make a perfect foundation, of course, well “fixed”.
For precise application and easier smudging, of course, we need quality brushes made of natural bristles, such as Nee Makeup Milano It is best to use a separate brush for each shade so that the colors do not mix.
Today we will focus on the classic “smokey eyes”, which means that we will choose three shades: black, silver, and white eye shadow
High-quality pigmented eyeshadows allow you to use less of them in the first place, they blend better and provide a long-lasting effect. Of course, Nee Makeup Milano has all these qualities.
We start with the darkest, namely black eyeshadow, which we apply on the entire moving eyelid. At the outer corner of the eye, be careful not to close the lid, but to open it, to lift it, that is, start at the lower, outer corner of the eye and draw the brush towards the end of the eyebrow, but only to the upper edge of the movable lid, just below the eye bone. to the inside of the eye and end at the inner corner. Paint a sort of “teardrop” shape with black eyeshadow. The upper and lower eyelid should meet with the black eyeshadow at the outer angle. This is the only way our eye looks open. We smudge the outer edges so that no lines are visible and the eyeshadow gets a nice, smoky look. Of course, we have to be careful not to smudge too much… there still needs to be a line that gives us an open-eye look.
Continuing with the middle shade, namely silver, apply it over the black eyeshadow in the form of a sort of “orange shard”. Apply it slightly above the black and a brush width higher towards the eyebrows. Smudge it additionally so that the eyeshadows blend nicely.
Then we add the lightest shade, in our case white eyeshadow. It is applied over the silver eyeshadow in the form of an “orange” Again, it should meet with the silver eyeshadow and blend nicely. The white eyeshadow should reach just below the eyebrows, as this will open up the eye again. When we apply a glossy white eyeshadow, we also gain freshness. We also emphasize it by applying it in the inner corner of the eye.
Before starting with the lower eyelid, double-check that all three colors blend well, that there are no visible edges or lines, and that everything looks smoky.
On the lower eyelid, we start again with the darkest, black shade. We draw it from the outer corner of the eye, just below the lower lashes, to the inner corner of the eye, about to the end of the lash growth. In the center of the eyelid, we apply silver, which again should flow nicely from the black, and white, which flows from the silver to the inner corner of the eye itself. White eyeshadow gives us freshness, especially if it is shiny, as already mentioned. The entire lower eyelid is additionally smudged so that no sharp line is visible. . Remember that a smoky look must accompany us everywhere.
Finally, we can add a black pencil in the waterline of the eye, in the conjunctiva, below and above, for a more dramatic look. If you have very small, closed eyes, it is better to apply a beige pencil, as it will visually open your eyes much more.
And to top it off, of course, mascara. Apply the mascara on the lower eyelid first, so that you do not leave an imprint on the upper eyelid when you look up. Try to apply the mascara in a zigzag line to cover each lash and prevent them from sticking together. If you want to achieve the look of artificial lashes, apply two coats of mascara. First, a mascara that provides maximum volume in 2 layers, and then a mascara that lengthens the lashes and combs them out beautifully.
And one more tip: never “pump” your mascara, you know what I mean, right?
This will make it dry faster because you are putting a lot more air into it. I wish you much success and fun while creating. You know, practice makes perfect.
